When the hair is removed at the root instead of cut from the surface, it grows back in smoothly, meaning you’ll be stubble-free. Smoother skin also makes for a more flawless makeup application.

It’s affordable! Since the face is such a small surface area, less wax is needed, so it’s less expensive than waxing larger parts of the body.

3. Because you’ll grow less hair

Think of it as training your hair. The more you wax, the less it grows over time. How great is that?

You’ll get about 2-3 weeks’ worth of results from a facial wax — a lot longer than other removal methods.

Types

Chin

Generally, chin hair is thicker and has stronger roots, which makes waxing a smart choice. While there are other methods for removing chin hair, waxing is especially beneficial here.

Ear

As you might imagine, ears can be difficult to wax on your own! If you find yourself in need of ear hair removal, professional facial waxing is one of your very best options.

Lip

The more you wax, the less painful it becomes. That hard-to-reach hair around the mouth is no match for our therapists.

Sides of Face

Both women and men have sideburns, but having dark or thick sideburns might make you feel self-conscious. Ditto for having an uneven hairline. Waxing the sides of your face will give you that perfect, clean line.

Cheek

Because cheek hair is fine and light, it can be difficult to remove. Facial waxing can help get every last pesky bit of facial fuzz. In fact, the more often you wax these areas, the finer that hair will come in time after time.

Neck

Some women are surprised to find hairs big and small along their neck. These unwanted stragglers on the front, sides, and back are easily taken care of with facial waxing.

Nose

Ah, nose hairs. They serve a purpose but are a no-go when they can get long and unruly. Our therapist will focus on waxing the outer edge of your nostrils (similarly to how you’d use hair trimmers). Because the nose is so sensitive, it’s important to let a professional therapist wax this area.

Eyebrows

What to Expect

An appointment with one of our therapists will help you determine exactly where you should remove any pesky little hairs from your face.

If it’s your first facial waxing, it’s important to know what to expect prior to your appointment.

Hair is totally normal

Don’t be embarrassed. We all have unwanted hair or peach fuzz on our face. We’ll help you strut out and feel confident in your own skin.

A slight ouch

Although a little discomfort is completely normal during your first time facial waxing, it’ll hurt less and less each time you visit.

A little redness

Just like any area that you wax, the surrounding skin may be a little red after your service. If you’ve got a big event, plan your wax about three days before (just to be safe!)

Some sensitivity

Because the skin on your face can be more sensitive than other areas, you may notice some slight sensitivity after your service. If you feel extremely sensitive after a face wax, consult one of our therapists.

To Keep in Mind

Avoid harsh sunlight, sunbathing + tanning beds
If you must go in the sun, wear sunscreen
Avoid topical face treatments
Avoid swimming in chlorinated water
Avoid profuse sweating
Avoid touching the area

How long will your face or brow wax last?

Typically, your wax will last 2-3 weeks before you begin to see any regrowth, but as you wax your face more regularly, the density and amount of hair may decrease.

Aftercare Tips

Be Consistent

Don’t flip-flop between hair removal methods. Once you start waxing for hair removal, stick with only waxing and be consistent about coming in for your appointments. This will help to ensure that your face stays perfectly smooth.

Keep it Clean

Wash your skin every morning and every night and never go to bed with makeup on. This helps keep your skin healthy and makes regular waxing easier.

Exfoliate

Use an exfoliator to keep skin smooth in between your facial waxing services. Exfoliating primes the skin for waxing by making it easier for hairs to slide out from their roots, which can create longer lasting results.

You’ll want to avoid exfoliating 24 – 48 hours prior to waxing. We recommend applying a thin layer to clean, dry skin with a circular motion until the exfoliation begins to activate.

Exfoliating helps the skin on your face better absorb your moisturiser and serums, which means they’ll work more effectively. Regular exfoliation reduces your chance of ingrown hairs—great for anyone prone to ingrown hairs on their chin and neck.

Turned up and the place is very welcoming and clean. Had an Aromatherapy massage which was really fantastic and Katie Korakod knows what she is doing. I now feel relaxed and more straight! The head massage towards the end was excellent. Staff are very friendly and the whole place is professional and brilliant. Prices are good and well worth the treatment. I will so come again and its a 5 stars all the way!

I’ve reached out to Nuchido about ten times since last week trying to secure a refund, yet all I received were automated, scripted replies with no follow-up phone calls. It’s been incredibly frustrating to feel completely ignored despite my repeated efforts to get in touch.

The customer service here is severely lacking. Instead of addressing my concerns directly, every interaction has felt impersonal and dismissive. It’s disappointing to see a company not standing behind its product, especially when issues arise.

On top of that, after using the product, I experienced a severe migraine—the worst I’ve ever had—along with intense stomach cramping that persisted throughout the day. These adverse reactions not only ruined my day but also made me question the safety and quality of what’s being offered.

If you’re considering Nuchido, I strongly urge you to proceed with extreme caution. A company that can’t provide proper support or take responsibility for its product should be a major red flag. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend risking your health or your money with this product.

Overall, this has been a deeply disappointing and stressful experience. I’m sharing my story in hopes that others will be forewarned and avoid the headache—both literally and figuratively—that I’ve endured.

She’s the best. I’ve been getting filler since I was 18 but have always been very cautious with who I see. When I started my filler journey it was challenging finding good people local to me. Therefore I would travel to London, see a dr and spend a lot of money. Anna is an extremely knowledgeable and professional beautician. Since she started my B12 injections (after the NHS said my blood tests were normal which they weren’t), my energy has increased steadily. I book online and pop in once or twice a week. Always prompt with no waiting. I initially went for Botox as (to be honest) she was cheaper but her accuracy with the needle and the results were better than anywhere else I’d been so I’ve continued. If Anna were based in Ascot, for example, she could/would probably charge a lot more. Highly recommend.

Update May 2024: still absolutely love coming to see Anna, I’m a big fan of her signature facial, she gets my sensitive skin and always tailors the treatment for me. Since I last posted I’ve also had polynucleotides with Anna and seen great results!

Love HOB! I’ve had a few treatments (facials and mesotherapy) with them and have been super impressed with them all.
